How it worksSildenafil citrate, commonly known as VIAGRA comes in a variety of formulations, including tablets, oral liquid, and suppositories. Each VIAGRA suppository has a unique composition, making it suitable for different preferences and needs. The primary goal of our research is to develop new formulations of sildenafil citrate to address the diverse needs of our patients.
This study, which was conducted at the University of Manitoba's School of Pharmacy, aims to develop a formula to improve the bioavailability of sildenafil citrate. The formula for this study was developed as a combination of two components. It is available in various forms, including oral liquid, tablet, suppository, and suppository in the U. S. market. Each formulation was administered to four groups:
Group A (oral liquid): Sildenafil citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, was administered orally once every 4 hours for up to 12 weeks. Group B (oral liquid): The same formulation of sildenafil citrate was administered as a single dose, whereas the treatment group received both sildenafil citrate and a placebo.
Group C (oral liquid): The same formulation of sildenafil citrate was administered by a single dose for the same duration, whereas the treatment group received both sildenafil citrate and a placebo.
The results of this study are promising and could be used for the development of new formulations.

This study will evaluate the efficacy of this new formulation of sildenafil citrate in two different patient populations, and the potential use of this formulation in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
The researchers will conduct a study on the clinical effectiveness of this new formulation of sildenafil citrate. They will evaluate its bioavailability and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers. Their research will also evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this formulation in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
